Hot Stones Sports Massage
My name is Steve Guyatt. I specialise in Hot Stones Remedial and Sports Massage, that I use to treat back, neck and shoulder pain plus other numerous conditions. My sports and hot stones massage services are available in both the Andover and Newbury areas as I have fully-equipped treatment rooms in both towns. You can also find a lot of information about my massage activities, treatments and reviews on my facebook page SteveGuyattProMassage.

I attend my Andover practice every Tuesday & Thursday, and my Newbury practice every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I normally work from 9am Monday to Friday with a last appointment time of 6.30pm but on Fridays I normally run a last appointment time of 4pm. I can sometimes be flexible outside of these times if required but with my current full workload during these opening hours and the physical demands it places on my hands I do need to to give them some time off!
Hot stones sports massage, as the name suggests, is a dynamic blend of Hot Stones and Sports Massage that integrates stone work with advanced massage techniques using hands and forearms. The result is a unique, seamless use of hands, hot stone work & remedial healing techniques such as Muscle Energy, Myofascial Release, Positional & Soft tissue Release etc.
A Hot Stone Sports Massage is a holistic, innovative and exhilarating “fusion” of the principles of Swedish Massage, Eastern & Western Massage Therapies, Deep Tissue, trigger point work, stretching and energy work. Combined with the power of heat from the hot stones, the result is – in my opinion – the ultimate sports massage.
In the video clip above Steve explains the great benefits of Hot Stones.
To support my sports massage treatments I now use, where appropriate, a Scenar device. This is the most technically advanced pain relief device available and represents a breakthrough in stimulating and accelerating the body’s natural self-healing abilities. See my article on Scenar Therapy to find out more.
Also, I’m certified in the Niel-Asher technique for frozen shoulder. Check out my practitioner details on the Niel-Asher website.
As a fully qualified (NVQ L5) member of The Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage & The Federation of Holistic Therapists**, and an experienced sports massage therapist, I am very well placed to help you on your way to peak condition and health via massage.
** I am listed on the FHT Complementary Healthcare Therapist Register, which has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), under its Accredited Voluntary Register (AVR) scheme.
